My Resume

My Pal

Hi Everyone,

As my 2nd term as Putnam Valley's Supervisor quickly comes to an end, I am so proud of the accomplishments that our Town Board has brought forward these past 4 years.

  • We introduced a third monthly Town Board meeting so that our Board could be more thorough in its oversite and due diligence for our Town.
  • All Board meetings are now broadcast live.
  • All meetings start at the uniform time of 5 PM for the 1st and 2nd Wednesday Meetings and at 6 PM for the Regular 3rd Wednesday Meeting.
  • We finally have placed a Medication Take Back Box in our Town Hall for use by all residents.
  • We instituted an emergency e-mail alert system that is available for our residents on our Town Webpage
  • We cleaned and reclaimed our Lake Peekskill (LP) retention Pond.
  • We negotiated and signed both the CSEA Workers Contract for 5 years as well as a brand new Manager’s Contract for 5 years.
  • We negotiated a sound 4 year contract with our Teamsters Union.
  • Our Board proposed and passed a 5 year septic pump-out rule for Roaring Brook Lake (RBL) and LP.
  • We installed a huge aeration system at LP to help control the toxic algae problem.
  • With Supervision from Highway Superintendent Cobb, the Town has completely repaired and refurbished the LP Community Center.
  • We finally have a fully formed Lakes Commission involving all 4 major bodies of water in Town.
  • Under the auspices of the Hudson Highlands Land Trust, the entire Granite Mountain Range along Peekskill Hollow Rd. will now be preserved and protected for all time.
  • We eliminated the transfer station for LP saving over $25,000 for the District.
  • We passed a broad no smoking regulation for our Town Park.
  • Had the State give us dunks to reduce the mosquito threat this past summer.
  • We finally had the Town take over all of the electrical inspections that the County once controlled.
  • Again under Highway Superintendent Cobb’s Supervision we removed the North Beach Fence at LP which had been an eyesore for over 20 years.
  • We settled the Optimum and Comcast Cable Contract.
  • We are instituting new business-friendly permitting codes and are currently revising our entire zoning codes.
  • We assisted in getting a Lake Manager for RBL who is now doing an extensive Lake Study.
  • We supported the securing of a Lake Manager for Lake Oscawana.
  • We began removing the Zombie homes in Town.
  • We had NYSEG finally install a street light at the entrance of our Town Park.
  • We repaired the broken clock at Oregon Corners which had been out of commission for over 10 years.
  • We finally repaired our Town Hall Parking Lot.
  • We have installed an efficient generator at Town Hall that will allow us to open Town Hall when the power goes down.
  • We have purchased an 161 acre Town Camp that will provide our residents with endless recreational opportunities.
  • With the help of Senator Sue Serino we finally have work on the Pudding Street overpass beginning this summer.
  • We have now instituted (thank you Sherry Howard) a pay-by-check internet service for your Town taxes. You can pay your taxes from home using our new computer-based payment app. Access it here:

Finally, I am so proud that our Town Board was able to accomplish all of these initiatives by keeping our Town taxes under or just slightly above (by .8%) the maximum tax cap. Hopefully in my 3rd term our Town can accomplish so much more.
